Bought 1000 contraband cartel chips. Out of those 1000 chips I got: 208 green rep items 164 blue rep items 47 purple rep items 2 scavenged scrap 1 jawa junk 3 cartel certificates (the first two-both around the 400th try, the third one-right in the end). Smuggler chips now costs 2k each (up from 1k) and Kingpin chips now costs 75k each (up from 50k). New quest to use your macrobinoculars to scan for cheating. Getting Started

What’s New This Year?
KIngpin’s Rancor and Vectron Magnus mount that were previously from Kingpin Slot machines have been replaced with Vectron BWL Wraith and Gamorrean Guard items. They have the same drop chance as before the Kingpin Rancor and Vectron Magnus speeder. Kingpin Rancor and Vectron Magnus still drops from the slot machines but are also purchaseable with Golden Certificates.
Costs to gamble have gone up. Smuggler chips now costs 2k each (up from 1k) and Kingpin chips now costs 75k each (up from 50k).
New quest to use your macrobinoculars to scan for cheating.
New Quest
There is a repeatable quest (daily?) to scan for cheating at the Sabacc tables. Just use the macrobinoculars provided and scan for the tables on either side. There are about 12 targets to scan and one of them is the cheating device (it is random each time). Completing this quick quest give you 1 Kingpin token.

New Kingpin Slot Drops
There are two new items at the Kingpin slot machines (Kingpn rancor and Vectron Magnus still do drop). They seem to have the same drop chance as the Magnus and Rancor from before.

Ok let me show you guys how important using 3 or 4 machines is for your time spend in this event with a little math. The cooldown per player action is 1.5 seconds , the cooldown of a slot machine is 5 seconds. Using 1 machine, you end up with 1 spin every 5 seconds (3.5 seconds wasted per 5 seconds = 30% efficiency) Using 2 machines, you end up with 2 spins every 5 seconds (2 seconds wasted per 5 seconds = 60% efficiency) Using 3 machines, you end up with 3 spins every 5 seconds (0.5 seconds wasted per 5 seconds = 90% efficiency) Using 4 machines, you end up with 4 spins every 6 seconds (no wasted time = 100% efficiency) The droprate of the Gamorrean Guard is 0,09% (with lucky buff) This means you need to spin the Kingpin slot machine 1111 times on average to get it. The Smuggler machine spits out a Kingpin Chip at a 5% rate or 1 in 20. To get 1111 Kingpin Chips you need to spin 1111 * 20 = 22220 times on the Smuggler machine. So including the Kingpin Chips the total average spins is 23331. Doing this on 1 machine takes 5 seconds * 23331 = ~32 hours 43 mins on average Doing this on 2 machines takes 2.5 seconds * 23331 = ~16 hours 12 mins on average Doing this on 3 machines takes 1.667 seconds * 23331 = ~10 hours 48 mins on average Doing this on 4 machines takes 1.5 seconds * 23331 = ~ 9 hours 43 mins on average As you can see the 5 second machine cooldown is a big factor if all you do is play a single machine as every single spin takes the full 5 seconds, making 70% of your time standing there nothing more than actually standing there. So in short: 1 machine = 30% efficiency or 100% speed 2 machines = 60% efficiency or 200% speed 3 machines = 90% efficiency or 300% speed 4 machines = 100% efficiency or 330% speed And as always keep in mind these are the average values. As with all RNG some people will require double or triple the average time, some will get it first try and others will never get it. | |
